Scott Brown, DDS
A native of the Henry and Clayton County area, Dr. Scott Brown graduated from Morrow High School, where he was an avid tennis player. Receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, he remains a serious Bulldogs fan (although he did take some of his early classes in rival Yellowjackets territory).
After earning his dental degree from Emory University in 1987, Dr. Brown furthered his education at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning. There, he underwent additional hands-on, advanced practical study in comprehensive, contemporary, esthetic dentistry. His dedication to clinical excellence earned him an award in 2007.
Devoted to furthering his knowledge of modern dentistry techniques, he went on to complete advanced training with certification in Invisalign® and laser dentistry.
Married since 1991, Dr. Brown’s greatest joy is spending time with his wife and six children. He also enjoys being a member of his local church. At times, Dr. Brown has been known to get away and go hunting, play a game of golf, go for a run, or compete in a tennis match.
Thomas D. Berry, MD, DDS
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Thomas Berry received his dental degree from Creighton University, where he also attended medical school. He went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University and his general surgery internship at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta.
Michael Beckerman, DDS
Dr. Michael Beckerman received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, recently renamed Georgia Health Sciences University, in 2011. Dr. Beckerman attended college at the University of Georgia in Athens. After practicing in Atlanta he decided to make a move to Henry County to practice.
Dr. Beckerman joined Scott Brown’s Family Dentistry in McDonough in 2011. He is thrilled to be part of this thriving practice and to be working on and with such wonderful people.

Dr. Beckerman is an active member of the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is also active in regional and local dental societies.
Aside from his love of college football (Go DAWGS!), Dr. Beckerman enjoys camping, watching and attending sporting events, and live music. Most of all, Dr. Beckerman enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family.

Kelley
Becoming a dental assistant in 1999, Kelly joined the Family Dentistry team in 2007. Kelly has fun at work, making people laugh and joking with patients and other team members. The relaxed atmosphere at the office makes her days go by quickly. Kelley has four children and loves to shop and go to the movies, but she usually ends up spending the weekend watching her children play sports, making them laugh, and contributing to their fun and well-being.
Melinda
Melinda has worked in the dental field since 1999, joining Dr. Brown’s office in 2007. A Georgia native, Melinda is married with three children. She enjoys reading, working out, spending time with family, and helping people. Melinda works in the front office and is available to help patients with financial questions and treatment plan options. She is happy to help people and show them how they can afford their dream smiles.
Kyna
Kyna has been working in the dental field since 1994. She started at Family Dentistry in 2000 as a dental assistant and has since moved to the front office, where she coordinates patient appointments. Kyna is a professional shopper and loves spending time (and money) with (and on) her two children, new son-in- law, and terrier Heidi.
Malinda
A dental assistant since 1988, Malinda has been part of the Family Dentistry team since 2002. She enjoys every aspect of dentistry, especially helping people find their smiles again. Malinda believes in having a good time with her husband, her daughter, and her animals. No one seems to know, however, exactly what she does with them. Malinda’s nickname around the office is none other than “Elli Mae.”
Teresa
Working in the dental field since 1986, Teresa finds her career to be very gratifying. She has only just recently joined the Family Dentistry team. During her spare time, Teresa enjoys relaxing at the beach, boating, and, most of all, spending time with her husband and children. She feels that God has truly blessed her.
Megan
Megan has been with Dr. Brown since 2008. She initially started off as a dental assistant and now works in our front office as Patient Coordinator. Helping you with making an appointment to financial arrangements. Megan enjoys spending time with her little boy and is awaiting her husband’s return from serving our country overseas.
Lynette
A dental hygienist with Dr. Brown since 1998, Lynette recognizes the importance of meticulous dental care and its relationship to the health of the entire body. She loves her job and feels that all patients deserve quality dental treatment that is provided with tender loving care. Lynette has been married for thirty years and has two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, all kinds of exercise, including dance, and especially loves to travel.
Scotti
Our front office manager, Scotti has been working with Dr. Brown since 1989, ten years after she began working in the dental field. Scotti believes in the golden rule of treating people fairly and equally. She loves her job and it shows. Her favorite part of working at Family Dentistry is being involved with people in the community and watching their apprehension turn into brilliant smiles. Scotti has been married for thirty years, has two children, and is an active member in her church. She enjoys photography, scrap booking, and spending time with her family.
Mary
Mary has been practicing dental hygiene at Dr. Brown’s office since 1995. She cares for all of her patients and strives to make them comfortable during their dental hygiene visits. Mary has been married for seventeen years and has three children. She enjoys singing, walking, and spending time with her family.
Katheryn
Katheryn joined our office in July 2009 immediately upon graduation from Clayton State University. She is excited to be able to help her patients achieve a healthy smile. She enjoys working out and spending time with her friends and family.
